Today’s article is published as a guest post at Smashing Magazine. We go over our findings related to homepage carousels from both our Homepage and Mobile e-commerce usability reports.

A bit surprising, our testing has revealed that homepage carousels can perform okay but only if a total of 10 carousel requirements are met. Hence, in practice the vast majority of homepage carousel implementations perform very poorly with end-users.
